Draw

How does drawing work in ScribbleBuild?

You draw an object, and it becomes a real object in the world. That one idea is the whole game: the pencil is how you make everything else.

Concept art

A drawing is not a picture of the thing. It is the thing.

In most games, drawing is decoration. You paint a skin, or you sketch on a wall. In ScribbleBuild the drawing is the object. You draw a wheel and you have a wheel. You draw a bridge and there is a bridge.

That changes what building feels like. You are not searching a menu for the part that is closest to what you had in mind. You draw what you had in mind.

From pencil to object

  1. You decide what the build needs

A ramp, a wall, a handle, a boat. The job tells you what to draw.

  2. You draw it

Your drawing is the design. It does not have to be neat.

  3. It becomes a real object in the world

Now it is a thing you and your friends can build with.
